85 km north of Kuopio. Lake Nurmes 15 m (length 7 km, breadth 3 km), own boat. Hard sandy clay bottom, pier. Good for swimming. In natural state shoreline are rocks. Kangaslahti village´s public swimming beach 4km and it’s more suitable for children.
